Wrestling is a highly respected sport in Mongolia. It is said that the traditional wrestling costume is made with an open chest to ensure that there can be no women participating in the wrestling games. During a game hundereds of years ago it was revealed that the winner was a woman i disguise. Since it was a great embarrasement for the men to be defeated by a woman, the wrestling costume was changed to its present appearance.

In July 2005, probably the first ever, wrestling game for women was arranged in Undur Ulaan, Mongoliet. During the match the wrestling costume was turned back to front, to cover the chest instead of the back. The wrestling game was arranged by Ulrika Jansson in collaboration with the mongolian artist collective Blue Sun.
